FAQ’S
Do I need to make an appointment to bring my quilt in for long arming?
No. Please bring your flimsy in at your convenience. We are open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Our staff are all trained to complete the intake process and speak to you about quilting.
How do I prepare my flimsy for quilting?
When your top is completed and you are ready to bring it in, please make sure seams are pressed flat, threads are trimmed, and any flanges are basted either by hand, machine or glue.
For best results please make sure your top and backing are square and seams and borders lay flat.
Do not embellish your flimsy before it is quilted. Our machine cannot navigate buttons, crystals or other items. It is best to apply those to your finished quilt.
Bring your top, backing and batting to us in three separate pieces.
Cotton backing must be three (3) inches larger than your quilt top on each side.
Plush, Cuddle, Minky or any other stretch fabric must be six (6) inches larger than your quilt top on each side.
Backing and batting must be the same measurement.
Do you have backings and battings in the shop for purchase?
Yes! We have an excellent selection of cotton, flannel, and plush wide backs . You can browse backings HERE
We also carry a vast selection of battings from Quilter’s Dream, Warm and White and Khatadin. You can browse battings HERE
I can’t make it into the shop, can I mail my quilt?
Absolutely! Once your quilt is received, we will give you a call to complete the intake form and chat about your vision for your finished quilt.
My quilt isn't finished, can I reserve a spot in the queue?
Yes. You can make a reservation in person, over the phone or by email. We will hold that space for you up to three weeks. If we do not receive your quilt within the three weeks the spot is void. Due to high volumes around the holiday season, we DO NOT accept any reservations after NOVEMBER 15th.
